Graffiti Manhattan 1 PM
Come see, feel, and experience the graffiti, street art
and murals that make Manhattan famous. Come see everything from a
life-like Kiss star to Barak Obama. In New York, graffiti is now used
mostly for business advertising, but there are still many examples of
“pure” graffiti as well. Whether you are a master artist, art
enthusiast, or just curious, come with us on Manhattan's premier
graffiti tour to explore Graffiti and everything it has to offer.
Our special guest will be the world's greatest expert on graffiti artists because he has arrested so many of them including some that have become world famous. Ike Ilkiw, retired NYPD detective, now working for the Metropolitan Transit Authority on graffiti duty! He himself loves graffiti art but not on subway cars!
Meeting Location: Meet at the southeast corner of Avenue C and 10th Street in front of the East Village Tavern at 158 Avenue C.
If you have any questions or need help on this particular tour, you can telephone Gabe Schoenberg at (201) 788-7196. E-mail: GTS235@nyu.edu
Fee: $12 credit card on line; $15 cash on the spot.
